Memorial Day is more than a three-day weekend. It is a solemn occasion to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Communities throughout Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties come together yearly to commemorate this day through parades, ceremonies, concerts, and community events. Below is your guide to Memorial Day 2025 events across the area, including detailed times and locations. Planning to attend? Brookfield
Memorial Day Commemoration
Date: Monday, May 26
Time: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Location: Oak Hill Cemetery, 3500 N. Brookfield Rd.
Details: Hosted by American Legion Post 296 with participation from Brookfield Academy and Boy Scout Troop 71. The ceremony includes a rifle salute, a soloist, speakers, and taps.
Cedarburg
Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony

Route: Begins at Bridge & Washington, ends at Peter Wollner Post 288, W57 N481 Hilbert Ave.
Details: Hosted by the Cedarburg American Legion. A ceremony follows the parade.
Delafield
Belfrēdom 5K Run/Walk

Time: 9:30 AM (Packet pickup begins at 8:00 AM)
Location: Belfrē Kitchen parking lot, 606 N. Genesee St.
Details: Charity run/walk benefiting Milwaukee Fisher House. Post-race celebration with DJ, food, coffee, and cocktails begins at 10:30 AM. Registration required.

Wood National Cemetery Ceremony

Forest Home Cemetery Memorial Day Event
